Head of Music Technology at Charanga / YuStudio Product Manager Max Wheeler

Max Wheeler is a music technologist, educator, producer, and DJ whose work bridges contemporary music creation, inclusion, and education. He is Head of Music Technology at Charanga and Product Manager for YuStudio, an accessible online DAW used in over 12,000 schools worldwide. With over 20 years’ experience as a music educator, Max began his career working in youth clubs across West Yorkshire and Lancashire. His background as both a signed recording artist and a specialist in SEND and inclusion directly informs the design, philosophy, and features of YuStudio. During the pandemic, he led the development of the platform, which won the Music Teacher Award for Best Digital Resource and is available to all Charanga students. YuStudio is also available in the MusicFirst Classroom as one of the products in the Modern Band and Creativity Solutions.
