Matt Woodward

Matt Woodward brings 18 years of classroom experience to the intersection of music education and AI. A nationally recognized choral director, he built an award-winning contemporary a cappella program at MacArthur High School in San Antonio, earning national championship recognition and mentoring ensembles at conferences across the country. He now serves as VP of Sales, Support & Solutions at Merlyn for Education and is co-founder of MusEdLab.ai, an AI teaching studio built specifically for music educators. Matt holds AI credentials from Anthropic and Perplexity, and speaks nationally on practical AI adoption in the arts classroom, including a featured session at TMEA. He brings the same rigor to AI as he does to music: knowing which tool fits the task, and using it with purpose.
